Industry Standard Contributions


The IEEE 802 LAN/MAN is a family of standards which represent the main worldwide Local Area Network standards and Metropolitan Area Network standards. These include the most widely used standards for the Ethernet family, Token Ring, Wireless LAN, Wireless PAN, Wireless MAN, Bridging and Virtual Bridged LANs.

The IEEE 802.22 is a new emerging standard, among the family of IEEE 802 LAN/MAN standards, which aims at constructing wide area networks or WRAN utilizing the concept of cognitive radio to provide point to multipoint fixed broadband wireless access in wide area networks.
